Johnnie Walker, a whisky brand which doesn’t need an introduction. A 200 year old legacy which walked around the world and the brand’s logo ‘Keep Walking’ stand true for every bottle of whisky the brand has ever sold.
A little about Brand’s history:
The story began in a small town named Kilmarnock with the man who gave this whiskey the name. Young John Walker at the age of 14 was running a grocery store as his father had died and he had a family to take care of. At that time the grocery stores used to sell single malt in their stores but the product was very uncertain and of poor quality. John on the other hand didn’t liked it and hence started blending different malts to produce an unique and consistent product for its consumers. His blended whisky tasted the same every time and therefore became a very popular product in a very short time.
Soon the whisky become very famous and its commercial blend was named as ‘Highland Whisky’. In 1909 grandsons of John Walker started producing two new products Johnnie Walker Red Label and Johnnie Walker Black Label. In 1920 the product was sold around the world in 120 countries. On 1 st Jan 1934 Johnnie Walker got the royal warrant for supplying whiskey to Royal household which they still hold.
By the 20th century Johnnie Walker’s Red Label and Black Label were joined by the blended masterpiece of the brand, the one and only Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
